Birthday card with ribbon

I love bright colours (can you tell?!).  Yellow and pink are my favourites, they are such fun colours.  I made this card for a girlfriend who is having a birthday this week.

I am entering the card in the following challenges:

Mojo Monday -  sketch 217

Obviously I chose to use the square sketch - I just flipped it so the image was on the left and the ribbon was on the right.  I loved this sketch and I debated for ages about whether to use the round option or the square option.
The Ribbon Reel Challenge #16 - 'ANYTHING GOES' and use RIBBON on your card / project.

Birthday Sundaes - Challenge #37 - This week's challenge is to simply create a BIRTHDAY CARD and to remember to include some birthday wording/sentiment on your card front.

This card had a couple of 'firsts' for me - I had a go at making a paper flower - I think it turned out OK!   I inked the edges of it with pink ink once I was finished just to make it stand out a bit more.  I made the dragonfly ages ago using beads and wire - I wish I could remember how to make them!  I think the instructions were in an old edition of Scrapbooking Memories or maybe Stamping and Papercraft magazine - but I am talking well over five years ago!  I guess if I was to google it someone out there would have instructions for me!

Both sentiments were Kaisercraft stamps - I've never stamped straight onto ribbon before but it actually worked quite well..
The bird is from Create a critter cartridge.
The flowers and yellow ribbon are Kaisercraft.
Other ribbons, lace and button are from my stash.

Thanks for looking!
