Snow Cool - Christmas Cards

I've been having a play with my new Lawn Fawn stamps and they are rather cute! So many possibilities and combinations of very cute creatures.
I was inspired to create a card using the masking technique demonstrated by Michelle at The Card Grotto - she has a great video on her blog showing how to mask part of your card.  All her cards are beautiful - well worth a look.  I used masking to create the white snowy hill and used similar colours to create the sky.

I'm entering this card in the Christmas Card Challenge Blog - anything goes challenge.

I also got busy making some fun tags today.

Inspiration for my tags came from Rachel at RBergfeld Card Designs.
Really love these stamp sets!

Thanks for looking!

A couple of Christmas cards

I stumbled across this blog: Christmas Card Challenges and thought it would be a great idea to get a head start on my Christmas cards.  Every year I tell myself that I will make Christmas cards all throughout the year....and it never happens!

Well, I've made two cards now so it's a good start!

This first card followed a sketch from CAS(E) This Sketch #184.  I loved the simple design.  My card accidentally turned out looking wintery and snowy - an unintentional happy result!

The second card was disastrous from the beginning and I made mistake after mistake.  I was ready to throw it in the bin and give up...it turned out nothing like I had planned or hoped, but in the end was not as bad as I thought it would be.

Stamps:  Lawn Fawn -Winter Sparrows
Stamps:  Hero Arts - Collage music background
Inks:  Stampin up

Butterfly Challenge Card

Long time no blog!  Decided it's about time I started up again.  I've been making plenty of cards, just struggling to find time to upload them.  Here's hoping I can remember how to do this blogging thing!

The card was made using:
Stamps:  Stampin up Watercolor Wings and Stampin up Endless Birthday Wishes (sentiment)
Embossing folder: Flutterby - Stampin up
Inks:  stampin up Melon Mambo, Pumpkin Pie, Memento Black

This card was made to enter two challenges:
Colour Q Challenge # 357

and Retro Sketches #230

Loved the colour combo in the challenge and I always love to use a sketch to get me started with a card.

Thanks for looking (if there's still anyone out there after two years!)
