Purse birthday card

This is a cute little purse card that I have made for my very good friend's birthday tomorrow (hope she's not reading this a day early!)  It was so easy to make and I will be filling the inside of the card with Kaiser mini stamps for her birthday gift - they fit perfectly!

Here is the inside of the purse card:

I found the template for the purse card here.

First birthday cards

Hi all,

Just a quick post from me today.  I have a couple of 1st birthday cards, both for very cute little boys.  I decided to make the same card for both of them - why make it harder than it needs to be!  I just changed the background patterned papers.  I think they look rather boyish, don't you?

All cuts are from Birthday Bash cartridge
Stamp and letter stickers are Kaisercraft
I coated the number 1 and the party hat in dimensional magic just to add a bit of shine.

Liebster Award!

I was excited to receive this award the other day, not once but twice!
Thank you to:
My cousin Emily from  You Learn Something New Every Day and
Michelle from Cards by Mee Chelle
I love both of your blogs too!  Thanks for the lovely comments that you leave me!  Both girls have very entertaining and inspiring blogs - well worth checking out.

What is the Liebster Blog award?  Here is a quick explanation.

'Liebster' is German for 'dearest'. The award is a 'share-the-love' arrangement, given to inspirational bloggers with less than 200 followers.

Here's the to-do list of any Liebster award recipient:

  1. Thank the giver and link back to the blogger who gave it to you.
  2. Reveal your five blogger picks and let them know by leaving a comment on their blog
  3. Copy and paste the award on your blog (see above)
  4. Hope that those you award forward it to their favourite bloggers
Here are my five favourite blogs (in no particular order) with less than 200 followers (based solely on google followers).

1.  Helen Berry - Helen Berry Design
2.  Jo Boogie - Jo Boogie Stamping
3.  Sharla - This thing called life
4.  Amy C - Amy's Crafting
5.  Cricut Crazy Scrapper

Thanks to you all for being inspirational bloggers.  I don't know you personally but I am still inspired by your cardmaking and scrapbooking skills and love reading your blogs.

Welcome Little One

Here's a little baby girl card I made using the Mojo Monday sketch.

This is the sketch:

And here is my card:
I love these pretty papers - with two little boys in my house I don't get to use a lot of pink!
The little clothes were cut using the Everyday Paper Dolls cartridge.

It's a boy!

I made this card for my girlfriend who has just given birth to a beautiful, healthy baby boy.
I used the CPS sketch  for the layout of the card.
The boat is cut from Paper Doll Dress Ups and the 'it's a boy' stamp is Kaisercraft.

Here is the sketch:

and here is my card (I rotated the sketch 90 degrees).

Excuse the terrible lighting in the photo.  The blues and reds in real life are really vivid, bright colours.  And yes, that is sewing that you see on my card...done by me...on a real sewing machine!!  Mum has given me her old sewing machine.  It has returned from being repaired and I am loving it!  Expect to see some sewing on most of cards from now on!  I did attempt to sew around the white circle but it was WAY more difficult to do than I imagined, so that little white circle (with it's crooked bits of sewing) has ended up in the bin.  I think I'll stick with straight lines.

We are currently sweating it out in our non-air-conditioned house.  Sigh.  Our beautiful air conditioner has chosen to stop working.  My Father-in-law always jokes that he needs to wear a jumper in my house in the middle of Summer because I love my air conditioner!  We have been a week without it and the lovely serviceman came out today to repair it, only to tell me that it will be over a week before the part can be ordered, delivered and then repaired.  So we are feeling the heat as it has been in the high 30's this week (celcius).  Today is 35 degrees celcius (95 F) and we sure are feeling it!

On a much more exciting note, I got an email yesterday to say that I have won the entire set of Cinzia Loosemore's Every{day} Life digital templates.  Woo hoo!  To say I was excited was the understatement of the year!  I got 75 digital templates which are perfect for my Project Life pages.  They are AWESOME!!  I love her templates and I love her digi kits that she makes too.  It made my day!  Her blog is here if you are interested in having a look at her things.  I will make sure to post some pages using her templates as soon as I make our next page.

This is what I won!  Yes, I get ALL OF THEM!!

That's it from me today.
