I feel the love project
These two cards were made for the 'I feel the love project'. This month's recipient is Olivia, a brave 9 year old girl who recently lost her mother to cancer. At only 8 years old Olivia founded Kids Involved in Cancer Research (KICR) with a fierce drive to raise awareness and money for colon and lung cancer research. A pretty incredible effort! Anyway, if you are a card maker and would like to send a card to Olivia, then you can go here to Madison's blog, 'Funky Cards' to find out all the details. Madison is the founder of the 'I feel the love project' and each month she has a different person featured on her blog. A most worthy cause.
I chose bright, cheerful colours for my card and used my cuttlebug to make the backgrounds a bit more interesting. I am into 'sunshine' at the moment too, and have noticed the sun is appearing on a lot of my cards! Must be because it is bright and cheerful! Hopefully Olivia will like her cards.

Christmas elf card
Here's another Christmas card I have made and (shock!) I didn't use the Create a Critter cartridge! Instead I used another cartridge I love, Paper Doll Dress ups. This card will also go to the 'I feel the love' project. (Read about it here).
This time I have used very non-traditional colours and am just hoping that the elf and the sentiment are enough to make it feel like a Christmas card. Who said Christmas had to be green and red anyway?!!
I used the Mojo Monday sketch for the design of my card and rotated it 90 degrees.
I actually stamped a Christmas tree to go on this card too but it just didn't look right and made everything feel crowded and uneven so I stuck with my 'less is more' philosophy and left it as it was.
Papers were all from My Minds Eye.
Sentiment and bling are Kaisercraft.
Ric rac and button from my stash

Christmas Reindeer card
Here is a little Christmas card that I made using the latest Card Patterns sketch:
I discovered that I actually don't have ANY Christmas papers - EEK! So I had to rummage through all my paper pads to find some that looked Christmassy. I ended up using the My Minds Eye Fly a Kite collection, I thought their reds and greens were pretty close to Christmas colours. The reindeer on my card is from the Create a Critter cartridge (of course!) The brads, rhinestones and 'Merry Christmas' sentiment are all Kaisercraft.
This card will be heading to America very shortly to Madison for her Feel the Love project. You can read all about it here. This month her challenge is:
This month you may submit a Christmas card to a child/teen who will be spending Christmas in the hospital (or family members).
I thought this card would be suitable for a teenager who is spending their Christmas in hospital. I hope they like it.
