Tis the season to be jolly...

Well, it's not really Christmas time but I love this stamp so much and really wanted to use it.  Why not?!  I'm envious of those people who are clever enough to make Christmas cards all throughout the year so that they are totally organised with many handmade cards by December...well, now I have one card ready at least!  It's a good start.

I loved this sketch from Friday Mashup! and thought that the Santa stamp would work really well.  The stamp is a lot larger than the circle, but I just wanted Santa's face to fit.

The Challenge this week at Friday Mashup! is:

http://www.fridaymashup.com/

The 'mashup' is to use the 'delft tile technique' on your card.  I haven't used the technique on this card but I am about to head off and have a go.  I've never done it before and I love the way it looks.  Hopefully I'll have another card to share soon using the technique.

I followed the sketch pretty closely, just changed the placement of the circle and sentiment.

Thanks for looking!

Supplies:
Stamps:  Stampers Anonymous Tim Holtz (Santa); Kaisercraft (sentiment) stamp; Cre8tiv Border Icons (hearts)
Brad: Kaisercraft

  1. Carla- this card will get one in the mood for the holidays even in the middle of summer! Great use of the sketch challenge- the hearts are a cute addition to Jolly Old St. Nick! Thanks for sharing with the Friday Mashup this week!

  2. You did a great job with the sketch, and as someone who makes Christmas cards all year long (they are my fav type of card!) I was so excited to see someone make a Christmas card!

Thanks for playing along with us at The Friday Mashup!
