It's a boy!

I made this card for my girlfriend who has just given birth to a beautiful, healthy baby boy.
I used the CPS sketch  for the layout of the card.
The boat is cut from Paper Doll Dress Ups and the 'it's a boy' stamp is Kaisercraft.

Here is the sketch:

and here is my card (I rotated the sketch 90 degrees).

Excuse the terrible lighting in the photo.  The blues and reds in real life are really vivid, bright colours.  And yes, that is sewing that you see on my card...done by me...on a real sewing machine!!  Mum has given me her old sewing machine.  It has returned from being repaired and I am loving it!  Expect to see some sewing on most of cards from now on!  I did attempt to sew around the white circle but it was WAY more difficult to do than I imagined, so that little white circle (with it's crooked bits of sewing) has ended up in the bin.  I think I'll stick with straight lines.

We are currently sweating it out in our non-air-conditioned house.  Sigh.  Our beautiful air conditioner has chosen to stop working.  My Father-in-law always jokes that he needs to wear a jumper in my house in the middle of Summer because I love my air conditioner!  We have been a week without it and the lovely serviceman came out today to repair it, only to tell me that it will be over a week before the part can be ordered, delivered and then repaired.  So we are feeling the heat as it has been in the high 30's this week (celcius).  Today is 35 degrees celcius (95 F) and we sure are feeling it!

On a much more exciting note, I got an email yesterday to say that I have won the entire set of Cinzia Loosemore's Every{day} Life digital templates.  Woo hoo!  To say I was excited was the understatement of the year!  I got 75 digital templates which are perfect for my Project Life pages.  They are AWESOME!!  I love her templates and I love her digi kits that she makes too.  It made my day!  Her blog is here if you are interested in having a look at her things.  I will make sure to post some pages using her templates as soon as I make our next page.

This is what I won!  Yes, I get ALL OF THEM!!

That's it from me today.
Thanks for looking!
